I am currently a project scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. During my ASP post-doctoral fellowship at NCAR, I studied statistical downscaling of weather and climate models, snow measurement by a scanning laser system and geodetic quality GPS receivers, solid precipitation measurement, and soil hydraulic properties. My dissertation looked at the relationship between soil hydraulic properties and surface temperature.

Recently, I have also been using statistical downscaling to analyze future climate model runs, developing an intermediate complexity atmospheric model for downscaling, and analyzing the distribution of alpine snowpack.

You may find some of my software or earth science animations interesting.

...and of course, here is my C.V.
